Abstract

Four sialyl oligosaccharides were separated from goat milk (Capra hircus) by gel filtration and ion exchange chromatography. Their monosaccharide compositions determined by GC analysis after methanolysis and trifluoroacetylation were Glc (1) Gal (1) Neu5Ac (1) and Glc (1) Gal (2) Neu5Ac (1). Their chemical structures were further elucidated by methylation, FAB-MS and H-1-NMR analysis. The results suggest that their structures are: [GRAPHICS]
