Abstract

We report that acute quinpirole injection reduces BDNF mRNA levels in the rat hippocampus both at 2 and 6 h after the administration. These results suggest that the neurotrophin expression may be inhibited by situations involving dopaminergic overactivity. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
