Abstract

The analysis of an acute outbreak of diarrhoea in a large-scale pig farm in Poland was performed, The investigations included the use of conventionaland molecular biology techniques to detect the etiological agents of the disease. Three different etiological agents (TGEV, group A porcine Rotavirusand enterotoxigenic-ETEC E. coli) were detected as a cause of diarrhoea outbreak in the herd. This is the first published case of the acute clinical form of TGEV infection in Poland in the last twenty-five years.
