Abstract

Fuculose I-phosphate and fructose-diphosphate aldolases were employed in the chemoenzymatic synthesis of the iminocyclitols 1 and 2 possessing a phosphonic acid moiety. These compounds are useful as core synthons for the development of specific glycosyltransferase inhibitors.
