Abstract

Magnetic field generated in plasma with high frequency modulational field has been studied in detail. By solving the two time-scale and two fluid equations, a set of nonlinear equations has been obtained by which the behavior of self-generated magnetic field can be described. Numerical results showthat magnetic field self-generated by high frequency modulational field can be produced and with increase of time this magnetic field may collapse, leading to great enhancement of the magnetic field.
