Abstract

Based on the measured thermodynamic properties of liquid solutions for theA(III)-Sb and A(III)-Te systems, the concentration dependences of the structural characteristics of the liquid solutions were calculated. The presence of relatively shallow minimums in these dependences for the A(III)-Sb systems and deeper minimums for the A(III)-Te systems was accounted for by thepresence of the A(III)Sb, A(III)Te, and A(2)(III)Te(3) associates in the solutions. The partial Faber-Ziman structural factors, which exhibited the same specific features in the concentration dependences for the A(III)-Sb and A(III)-Te systems, were also determined. Based on the calculated factors DeltaN(j), which were introduced to characterize fluctuations in the preferential coordination number in the short-range order structure: with respectto the kind of atoms, the same conclusions were made.
