Abstract

The B-T phase diagram of alpha-(ET)(2)KHg(SCN)(4) has been studied under quasi-hydrostatic pressure by means of resistance measurements. Our proposedB-T phase diagrams at different pressures are qualitatively very similar to the theoretically predicted diagrams of an imperfectly nested charge-density-wave system. Furthermore, we observed indications of the existence of theoretically proposed field-induced charge-density-wave transitions. The phenomenon of phase inversion in the quantum oscillations and its relation tothe phase diagram is also discussed.
