Abstract

One of the most important characteristics of Spanish modern art is the division between those who work inside Spain and those who work outside, especially in Paris. When the Sociedad de Artistas Ibericos was born in 1925 it was willing to promote modern art to connect it to the public. It chose Pablo Picasso to normalize the situation, reclaiming him as the leader of thisnew Spanish art and showed his works in several decisive exhibitions in Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris.
