Abstract

In this work, we present simple and new method for producing a biaxially-textured Ni tape by electrodeposition for the substrate of YBCO coated conductor, since electrodeposition process has many advantage in the industrial point of view. The thickness of Ni deposit was 50 mum and can be peeled offeasily from the cathode. The crystal orientations of electrodeposited nickel tape were determined by the analysis of X-ray pole figure and EBSD. Thistape showed cube texture with out-of-plane (<7 degrees) and in-plane alignment (< 20 degrees).
