Abstract

Architectural peculiarities and parameters of a series of neural chips andneural computers used in scientific instrumentation are considered, and the tendency of their development and application in experiments in high and superhigh energy physics is described. Comparative data are presented that characterize how effective analog, analog-digital, and digital neural chipsare for selecting good events, for elementary particle identification, forreconstructing the tracks of charged particles, and for searching for the hypothetical Higgs particles. Also, the characteristics of native neural chips and accelerating neural boards are given.
