Abstract

An experimental study was carried out for J/psi production in a two-photonprocess using the VENUS detector at the TRISTAN e(+)e(-) collider. The study was based on 357 pb(-1) data at an average e+e- center-of-mass energy of58 GeV. No significant signal was observed, and the upper limit of the production cross section was obtained.
