Abstract

The fine structure intervals and isotope shift of the high 3(2)D levels ofatomic lithium were measured by two-step excitation fluorescence spectroscopy using an external cavity laser diode For the first-step excitation, using various scanning ranges over the first-step transition structure. Second-step spectra of the specific isotope pairs and fine components were readily assigned to the corresponding transitions.
