Abstract

Organic electroluminescent (EL) device was fabricated with poly(N-(p-diphenylamine) phenylmethacrylamide) (PDPMA) Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film as a hole transport material and Alq(3) as an emitting material. The PDPMA LB filmwas prepared by using arachidic acid as an active material. The photoluminescence and electroluminescence properties of organic multi-layered device consisting of ITO/PDPMA LB film/Alq(3)/Al were investigated. Green emissionwith a luminance of 400 cd/m(2) was achieved at DC drive voltage of 14 V. Especially, PDPMA LB film dramatically lowered the drive voltage of the device to 5 V.
