Abstract

Original and literature data are reported on a rare chromosome anomaly t(10;11)(p12;q14-q23) typical for acute leukemia. The translocation was found in 3 of 275 (129 adults and 146 children) patients with acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia (ANLL). The children had M5 FAB-variant, the adult had M1. Allthe 3 patients achieved remission: children for 3.5 and 6 months, the adult - for 32 months. The literature describes 30-40 ANLL cases with t(10;11). Prognostic value of this karyotype anomaly-is still obscure. This fact maybe explained by genetic heterogeneity of this ANLL group.
