Abstract

Influence of the temperature, molar ratio of allyl alcohol (AA) to H2O2 and acetone (solvent) concetration on the yield of glycidol, glycerin and diallyl ether in the process of allyl alcohol epoxidation has been studied. Higest yield of glycidol - 46,7 mole% - has been reached for the following parameters: temperature 20 degreesC, 80% acetone concentration, 1% TS-1 catalyst concentration, molar ratio of AA/H2O2 = 1 and 2 hours time. Process seems to be commercially attractive.
