Abstract

The authors report successful transmission of 16 channels at 10Gbit/s spaced by 20GHz using duobinary format over a single-span of 170km fibre with an average Q of 17.3dB. This is the first successful demonstration of duobinary WDM transmission with a PRBS length > 2(15)-1.
