Abstract

Quasielastic neutron scattering was used to study the motions of monoend-brominated alkyl chains included in channels of C9H16NO2 (tano). By using powdered and crystalline samples and several spectrometers, it was possible to analyse individually ring inversion of tano, 120 degrees jumps of its methyl groups and the anisotropy of the motions of the guest chains. Recent molecular simulation results are also briefly mentioned.
