Abstract

The specific heat of the spin-3/2 transverse Ising model with the presenceof a crystal field are studied by using the effective-field theory with correlations. In particular, the specific heat on a honeycomb lattice (z = 3)is examined in detail for the system. We find many interesting phenomena in the system.
