Abstract

A comparative spectroscopic investigation of self-trapped exciton (STE) emission in anatase single crystals and thin films was carried out at 5 K. Inthe single crystals, a strongly polarized STE emission with an electrical vector perpendicular to the c-axis was observed. Influence of annealing on the spectral characterictics of samples was tested. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
