Abstract

Nephrolithiasis, similar to many other disease processes, is influenced bygenetic and environmental factors. Diet is a major environmental component; however, it frequently is ignored in the management of individuals with this disorder, with more emphasis placed on minimally invasive stone removing procedures and preventive medical therapy.
