Abstract

Recent results obtained from studies of the anodic Pb(II) film formed on lead and its alloys in sulfuric acid solution has enabled reconsideration ofsome of the fundamental aspects of the film. These include the conditions for growth of various phase compositions as well as ion transportation processes within the film. The interstitial liquid among the particles of the film may serve as the major passage for ion transportation in the film growth and conversion processes. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A.
