Abstract

Interdiffusion at junctions between oxygen and sodium ion conductors-yttria-stabilized zirconia and sodium aluminosilicate-based composites, respectively-is studied by AES. A method for measurements of concentration profiles on surfaces under conditions prone to charging and electron beam damage is described, using a fence-shaped analysis area, background subtraction and factor analysis.
