Abstract

A detailed experimental study of the temperature and field dependencies ofmagnetoresistivity is reported for Nd2Ni2Sn ternary stannide. A complex magnetic phase diagram below the Neel point T-Ni = 21.0 K has been specified,revealing first- and second-order transitions. Appearance of magnetic phases with successively lowering symmetry is related to the competing magneticinteractions between transition and rare-earth elements in this system.
