Abstract

In this paper we introduce a new notion of Growth Iterated Function System (GIFS) which is composed of growing units and growing control sequence. Then a lifelike artificial plant tree was evaluated. The transmission and control of growing information is similar to the RNA in biological science. The comparison with L-system was discussed. Three pictures showing part of the computational experimental results are presented in the last part of this paper. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
