Abstract

Samples of Fe1-xCaxFeO3(x=0.0, 0.2 similar to 1.0) were prepared by solid state reaction method, XRD measurements show that compounds for x<0.6 have a perovskite structure. Three magnetic and one doublet species were observed at room temperature in the Mossbauer spectra. One of the three magnetic components corresponds to Fe ions in tetrahedral coordination, and the other to Fe ions in octahedral coordination. The shoulder peak of Fe-2p3/2 for the samples with x=0 related to Fe ions in different coordinated state. The Fe ions are all in a trivalent state.
