Abstract

We discuss new conjugated materials which are formally derived from classical polymers such as PPP, PPV and PAni. In this context strategies for the systematic separation of dipoles in PPV's, the planarizationof PPP-type structures and the design of two-dimensional molecular objects differing in size and shape are presented. The new quality of our approaches is the availability of well-defined and readily processible materials with tailor-made electronic properties.
