Abstract

In the stagnation phase of inertial confinement fusion, hydrodynamic instabilities prevent fuel heating, and fusion neutron yield is reduced. We calculated the neutron yield, fuel temperature, and the energy transport in thestagnation phase. The measured neutron yield of the implosion experiment carried out at this institute (ILE) is compared with the calculated value. The trend of calculation values agrees with that of the experiment.
