Abstract

Catalytic enantioselective addition of (4-trimethyIsilylbut-2-ynyl)tributylstannane to aldehydes provides trimethylsilylmethylallenyl alcohols in high enantioselectivity which can be converted with a second electrophile to the corresponding dienyl alcohols.
