Abstract

A capacitive-type relative-humidity sensor utilizing a thin polysulfone (PSF) sensing material has been fabricated to achieve reproducible relative-humidity measurements with long-term stability even in hot and humid conditions. The sensor showed a good initial performance with 0.5%U(%r.h) hysteresis and 0.1 +/- 0.1%U degrees C-1 temperature coefficient of capacitance along with good stability with less than + 3%U shift after 1000 h of exposure to 40 degrees C, 90%U conditions.
