Abstract

The authors describe unusual magnetic resonance findings due to carbon monoxide poisoning in a 34-year-old woman. With T-2-weighted imaging, increased signal intensity was observed bilaterally in the putamen and the caudate nucleus. Lesions of high signal intensity in the globuspallidus, which have been previously reported, were also observed.
