Abstract

Pervoskite oxides of LaFe1-xNixO3 (x = 0.1 similar to 0.6) were prepared by the solid state reaction method, The XRD, IR and Mossbauer measurements show that the samples are all in single phase except for x = 0.4; their structures transform from orthorhombic to rhomhombic at x =0.5. The frequency of Fe(Ni)-O stretching vibration shifts to a high frequency about 20 cm(-1) with a structure transformation, Fe ions areall in high spin state of +3 valence and Ni ions incorporated in lattice are in +3 valence.
