Abstract

The kinetic parameters of the three steps of thermal decomposition ofthe BaTiO(C2O4)(2) . 4H(2)O are calculated according to the Broido' slinearized simple graphical procedure, It is shown that three-step-reaction orders are 2,2,0; the activation energies are 96.8, 165.1, 172.2 kJ/mol and that the frequency factors are 1.03 X 10(11), 5.64 X 10(8), 2.63 X 10(6) s(-1), respectively, The conditions of the process of thermal treatment are optimized according to the kinetic parameters. The powder obtained are ultrafine BaTiO3 with a high purity.
