Abstract

We present the results from the BeppoSAX observations of Cygnus X-1 in itsSoft State (SS) and Intermediate State (IS). A thermal component, consistent with blackbody emission, is dearly detected in both states with color temperature and luminosity in the intermediate state lower than those in the soft state by about a factor 1.6 and 5, respectively A broad Fe K line is detected, consistent with a Gaussian profile in both states and also with a disk line model during the soft state. No significant change in the inner disk radius is observed from one state to the other.
