Abstract

Multiwavelength lasers can be generated by adding a Fabry-Perot filter in the ring cavity. Changing the voltage of the piezoelectric transducer (PZT) in the F-P filter, one, two, or, three wavelengths can be generated respectively. The range of the lasing wavelengths is over 7 nm, and the lasing wavelengths are near 1560 nm; the reason is that theEDFA wavelength with the maximum saturation output power is near 1560nm.
